Professionally Kristen’s career has spanned many industries and many roles, including Project Management, Public Involvement, Business Analyst. Her first foray into volunteerism was as a hospice worker, which she then took to the next level to be an 11th hour volunteer, where she sat with patients that were actively passing away.
Kristen’s drive to aid in the Fentanyl crisis was born from the loss of her son Nicholas Steckman in November of 2022. She raised Nick on her own and for his whole life navigated the myriad of obstacles that came from raising a neurodivergent child, inside multiple systems that did not support Nick or Kristen. Later in Nick’s life the same was true in dealing with mental health and addiction issues.
Along with Kristen’s lived experiences her unique set of analytical and organizational skills makes her presence on the board an important voice.
