Joy Crockett is a passionate lifelong learner and dedicated educator with nearly 30 years of experience. Her career has been shaped by her mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people. Her journey has taken her across the globe, working with youth in Nicaragua, Southern France, orphanages in Mexico, and more recently, Thailand, where she lived and taught for two years.
Holding a Master’s in Special Education, Joy focuses on recognizing the strengths within every individual, often looking beyond the challenges they face.
However, Joy’s most profound lesson came from the tragic, accidental passing of her son, Jacob. Through her grief, she has become a student once again—learning about the dangers of fentanyl and listening to the devastating stories from families impacted by this crisis.
Now, Joy is channeling her passion for education and advocacy into a new mission: preventing fentanyl from claiming more lives. She is committed to ensuring no parent or family experiences the heartache of losing a loved one too soon. As a member of the Fentanyl Free Communities Foundation board, Joy is devoted to raising awareness, supporting prevention, and helping create a safer future for all.
